Applicants to the ACAT lab should have many of the following qualifications:
- Ability to dedicate a minimum of a 10 hours a week, 1 year commitment to the lab.
- Interest in robotics, video gaming, electronics, virtual reality, etc. Interest in studying human-animal & human-robot interaction.
- Interest in cognitive, developmental, and social psychology.
- Job experience working with animals (e.g., training).
- Prior research experience via Research Methods and Advanced Research Methods.
- Computer skills (including Excel, SPSS, Photoshop, Digital Video Editing, Programming, HTML, SuperLab/E-Prime).
- A good sense of humor and ability to collaborate with others.
