Members of the ACAT Lab
Melissa Raymond
Melissa Raymond is in her fourth year at UCF studying for a B.S. Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her two fields of study are Computer Science and Behavioral/Social Sciences, with minors in Mathematics and Psychology. After taking a course in Cognitive Psychology with Dr. Valerie Sims, Melissa became a member of the ACAT lab in Spring 2007. She has worked on studies examining anthropomorphism and mood, as well as [comparisons of interactions with either human or robotic teammates].
Melissa looks forward to continuing her work in psychology after graduation, especially as a member of the ACAT lab. She is currently loving Dr. Chin's Human-Animal Interaction class and her first graduate-level class - Developmental Psychology, taught by Dr. Sims. Melissa considers her experiences at UCF as very fulfilling and inspiring. She hopes to "not simply do good things, but to be GREAT," as she was encouraged by Dr. Gilson's words in a Physiological Psychology course of Fall 2007.
