Tatiana Ballion
Tatiana's research interests are Cognitive Science in general, Artificial Intelligence, augmented cognition, anthropomorphism, decision making, expertise, robotics, human/computer interaction, uncanny valley, attributions, autism, neurosensing (e.g., eye tracking, fNIR, arousal, and other biometrics), facial recognition/processing, heuristics and biases, and virtual environments. She is very supportive of the contributions of many different fields and approaches to Cognitive Science, and to this end, enjoys staying current in Psychology, Philosophy, Mathematics, and Art, among others topics.
Tatiana is also affiliated with the Applied Cognition in Immersive Virtual Environments Lab (ACTIVE), at the Institute for Simulation and Training. In the past, Tatiana has conducted/participated in many different studies, including studies in expertise, anthropomorphism, face shapes/characteristics, facial feature processing, attribution, neurosensing, consumer evaluation/satisfaction, augmented reality as experimental facilitator, among others.
